About CBW-LA

Originally called the Torrance Children’s Book Writing Group (later on shortened to Torrance Children’s Book Writers), the Children’s Book Writers of Los Angeles (CBW-LA) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization founded in 2010.

We educate and empower published writers and writers on the road to publication. We also provide a venue for writers, members of the publishing industry, educators, libraries, and other members of the Los Angeles community who wish to be involved in promoting children’s literature and literacy for children to share knowledge and information.

CBW-LA provides different programs to help aspiring authors and novice writers achieve their writing goals. This includes writing workshops, guest lectures by authors and editors, creative writing sessions and critique sessions.
